The FR-2LE Super MOD increases clarity and detail for enhanced performance in Nature and Ambient recording, FX or any application that requires high gain, low noise and distortion with maximum clarity and detail. Perfect for ENG applications that require improved vocal detail and clarity with a more natural tone. The Super MOD improves the entire signal path up to the A/D chip. This includes replacing the low grade input capacitors with ultra HQ capacitors and the low slew rate JRC 2122 op amps are replaced with high slew rate, low noise and distortion op amps chosen by ear for the best performance. All op amps and capacitors in the signal path to the A/D chip are upgraded. The Super MOD removes the 1/4" unbalanced input from the signal path, it can be left intact by request.

The Fostex FR2LE HD MOD increases clarity and detail for enhanced performance in Concert recordings where a musical tone and 3 D soundstaging are a must. Designed for Concert Recordings that require the lowest input stage distortion possible. The HD Concert Upgrade improves the entire signal path up to the A/D chip.This includes replacing the low grade input capacitors with ultra HQ capacitors and the low slew rate JRC 2122 op amps are replaced with high slew rate, low noise and distortion op amps chosen by ear for the best performance. All op amps and capacitors in the signal path to the A/D chip are upgraded.

It records at up to 192kHz/24-bit resolution for audiophile quality to Compact Flash media, locked to the built-in SMPTE timecode input.

This upgrade gives the HDP2 a clean and fast signal path that is true to the input signal. 6dB of gain can be added by request, recommended for Nature recording or ENG with dynamic mics.

The HDP2 High Definition Upgrade rebuilds the analog signal path of the stock HD-P2 using very high slew rate op amps with ultra low THD. This upgrade reduces analog signal path distortion to the A/D chip and removes the limits imposed by the lower grade stock signal path chips. This significantly improves clarity and detail as well as size and depth of soundstage.
