Advanced MOD
The Advanced MOD keeps the line input and limiter/ALC circuit intact but removes the built in mic, DL mono and filters to reduce the mic preamp hiss thru the XLR mic input. It also uses very fast, very low distortion chips for the mic preamps as well as ultra high quality input capacitors. The result is a level of speed, detail and transparency that far exceeds that of the stock machine. The gain range on the mic preamp is -55dB to -15dB, a range of -60dB to -20dB available upon request. The Advanced MOD PMD671 is priced at 1099.00.
Basic Concert MOD
The Basic Concert MOD is designed to optimize recording quality on the 671 for music recording. This MOD differs from the Basic MOD in that it allows for a much higher input level via the microphone XLR inputs that allows the recordist to use a very high output condenser microphone without fear of input overload or clipping while further reducing the noise floor by another 6dB. The Basic Concert MOD PMD671 is priced at only 999.00
Advanced Concert MOD
The Advanced Concert MOD keeps the line input intact but removes the built in mic, dual level mono, limiter/ALC circuit and filters to reduce the mic preamp hiss thru the XLR mic input. It also uses very fast, very low distortion chips for the mic preamps as well as ultra high quality input capacitors. The result is a level of speed, detail and transparency that far exceeds that of the stock machine. The gain range on the mic preamps is -36dB to +4dB, a range of -50dB to -10dB with the ALC/limiter intact is available upon request. The Advanced Concert MOD PMD671 is priced at 1149.00.

Which Upgrade is best for my application ?

We are now offering our Basic MOD for any PMD671. This cost 150.00 for each machine plus 25.00 for return shipping and insurance via FedEx ground.
We are now offering our Advanced MOD for any PMD671. This cost 225.00 for each machine plus 25.00 for return shipping and insurance via FedEx ground. You must obtain an RMA to send in a machine for this service. Our 90 day limited warranty applies only to the parts we install, not for the entire machine. Please understand our MOD voids the warranty from Marantz so we prefer to upgrade 671's that are out of warranty.

We do NOT service decks that were not sold by Oade Brothers Audio, any deck sent in for an upgrade MUST be in good working order or it is not eligible for upgrades.

Our upgrades void the factory warranty but we offer a 90 day parts and labor limited warranty on the machines we modify. Please note, we reserve the right to refuse to service any machine that has had our warranty seal removed or tampered with.
