Reset computer corrupted recorder

Reset a computer corrupted digital recorder's internal file handling settings.
A computer OS writing to the card or a program accessing the card to create system level folders can generate a fatal error for a memory card digital recorder. This can happen with a file delete or format using a computer. Leaving the card in the reader as some other application is running also puts your recorder at risk. If this application writes a system folder to the card, then the card is inserted into the recorder, corruption can occur. Reading the card (looking at or copying files) with a card reader or the recorder via a USB connection never causes a problem. It's best to do the file transfer when no other application is running then remove the card or disconnect the recorder right away. The advanced user can instruct the OS to leave the card in read only mode or simply engage the write protect on the card when used with a computer.
